Bantumilli – May 2008:

The Geospectra IPDS® Technology was implemented in the Bantumilli block to identify the potential areas for petroleum exploration; the main purpose of the survey was to identify the location of the hydrocarbon bearing reservoirs, so that delineation wells could be drilled at optimal location.

240 data points were measured. The acquisition, processing and interpretation were done by GDR S.r.l., Rovereto, Italy. The resulting RHI map revealed the presence of five interesting areas. These areas are characterized by high values in the RHI indicator and may represent hydrocarbon prospects.

These RHI prospects are compatible with the structural and stratigraphic configuration identified from seismic and well data.

Sanganpur – August 2008

The Sanganpur oil field contains oil and gas in four reservoirs of the Kadi formation of Eocene age. These reservoirs are thinly bedded and comprise alternations and intercalations of sand–silt and shale. The entrapment condition is formed by the combination of structure and statigraphy.

The block containing the Sanganpur oil field was measured implementing Geospectra IPDS® technology to ascertain the spread of appropriate reservoirs and also to predict the accumulation of additional oil.

This survey has revealed the factual condition of the field and delineated the oil bearing reservoirs in the block and the surrounding area.

The map prepared from the IPDS® survey confirms the present subsurface condition of the field. It is concluded that the IPDS® survey has been very effective in projecting the present condition of the field.
